Born in Pennsylvania, Erika is another Yankee transplant! She grew up in Garner, North Carolina, and attended the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She received a BA in Journalism in 1989, married another Carolina grad, Cowan Griffin in 1993, and has never left "Blue Heaven". That makes nearly 20 years in Chapel Hill!
